Weighing seems reasonably accurate. The reading varies a little bit with heavy luggages depending on how it's placed. But that happens with many scales. The biggest issue is the hook is too small for the handle of any luggage. I was able to manage with a small loop of rope. But if you get this primarily for travel luggages be prepared to tie the scale at some support and use some kind of connector to hold the handle.

It's small... It's accurate, if you can hold 50lb steady... It's hard to hold the scale on heavy luggage.. I'm purchasing another scale from here that had better handle to hold the scale...

for the price I thought it won't be very accurate. But I weighed a 25lbs rice bag with this, and it show close to 25lbs on the screen. I also opened it and looked inside how it works. And looks like there is a device to measure stress on the metal plate which gets translated weight hung. I will recommend this to others hoping that all the other units work like the one I recived.
