Just now ordered, so cannot review, but wanted to comment on other posts where they complain that it does not fit into the USB port. That is because this is NOT a USB converter. it is a DISPLAYPORT (DP) TO HDMI Converter, as it clearly states. DisplayPort is the newest digital display interface standard introduced by VESA. The format supports both digital video and audio, and is standard on most new Dell and other laptops. Quoting another website: "While DisplayPort connectors are capable of passing an HDMI signal, DisplayPort and HDMI signals are basically different and not compatible with each other. This adapter does not actively convert a DisplayPort signal into an HDMI signal. In order for this adapter to function properly, you must have a DisplayPort source device capable of producing and passing out an HMDI signal through the DisplayPort jack. "

Ordered one. The first one came broken, so meritline sent me a replacement. Unfortunately, the replacement just shows a dark pink image on the screen instead of whites. I tested with another Displayport adapter I have at home and it worked fine, so there is something wrong with the Displayport adapter I received. Unfortunate, but the quality seems like a hit-or-miss.

Good product and a great price. Use to hook my Dell laptop with Displayport out to my HD TV. I had read that the sound would not play through but it worked perfectly.

Our company switched over to HP EliteBooks that do not have HDMI ports - they have the DisplayPort. This adapter works great to take video/audio out of laptap and send it into a device that taks a HDMI input.

Brother has this. plastic easily comes apart. Does go HD from the computer from the Dell however the Asus monitor he has is out of dad I guess and you can't port the Blu rays over from the laptop to the monitor which was the whole point of buying this. Flags some sort of copy protection error. If anyone knows how to fix that cheap that'd be nice.
