Meritline.com Verified Buyer Very stable - I've bought a few of these and they vary in how stable they are when controlling. This does have the high speed forward/reverse switch which is just slightly faster than the regular/low setting. This is R/C and not Infrared so it doesn't get lose signal around high levels of light. It has taken several bad falls and is still working well. Battery charge time is a little over an hour it seems. It uses an a/c charger - these bigger copters do not use usb or plugs from the controller. Lots of fun.

Meritline.com Verified Buyer I agree with the first review 100%. Very easy to handle, Real Radio Control, not IR, More durable than I could imagine. I best the piss out of this thing and it still in very good shape. My others broke the first time I flew them, this one holds up to lots of crashes. After all, its' a miracle that heli's fly at all! Safe enough for a large indoor environment. Strong enough to fly outside with a light wind. I will be buying more of these.

Meritline.com Verified Buyer This is my second RC helicopter. The first one was smaller (7") and lighter. This new helicopter is definitely bigger with more heft. However, it is more difficult to control than the small one. I can't seem to to maintain a steady altitude. I suggest starting with a smaller practice helicopter for your first one. This one does seem it could fly outdoors in a light wind but I haven't used it outdoors yet. I crash it enough indoors. I agree that it seems sturdy but I've been dealing with carpet so far. The color-changing LED on the propeller blade is super cool. It is definitely worth the money.
