AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! I just tossed this item in the trash. It has a significant FATAL (to it and the fuses in your car) design flaw which allows the center spring (for pushing the fuse and nipple - the POSITIVE electrode) to distort under compression, placing said spring in direct contact with the outer leafs (the NEGATIVE electrodes). After blowing several fuses in my car, I pried this thing apart to have a look inside and the issue was obvious. Somewhere along the line, all those shorts (and crawling under the dash to replace tiny expensive fuses) lead to the car charger itself going dead too. It is hard to say how many other of the MeritLine car chargers share this obvious, and frankly sleazy design issue. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

I thought the item was listed as 1.0A, but the one I recieved is only rated for 800MA. I assume this would be split between the two connectors so 400MA for each device being charged?

Product works as stated. I was able to charge my HTC Aria phone with it. Biggest downside is, it hogs the car battery. I just left the charger on after I swithced off the ignition for 2 mins. My Car battery got drained and I had to request for Jump start assistance.

Only 1 Port works. Seems like very poor quality. It was very cheap & I guess you get what you pay for.
