The description for this item is inadequate... I assume it captures 4 video inputs simultaneously with one mono audio channel. But what is the input resolution for each in pixels, and the audio quality? What format does it save the initial video and audio in?

This product is poorly designed and every driver available has failed. The product only runs in 2000, XP or Vista on a stable basis. If Audio is enabled, video is affected. If switching between channels is quick, the video recovery is affected. I have found that two chipsets are working against each other. Some Linux enthusiasts have *combined* driver work to create a stable work in Ubuntu10. Under XP I have created one setup that works *initially* until the device is properly disconnected and then the setup fails subsequent reconnection. Its not just the hardware; the software drivers are not stable. I have used the device since Dec 2010 and I have migrated away from this solution to something else with better stability.
