Decent lightweight rechargeable battery pack. I have an older one of these as well (this is my second) and for some reason they changed the charging port from a mini-USB to a tiny coax connector, which is less convenient, since the connector is easy to lose. However, the pack works well. Note that although extra tips are "free", you have to pay a relatively hefty amount for shipping, so you'd be better off just using the USB cable that came with your device. Note that maximum current draw is 750ma, and it will not work with a Mifi.

A little smaller than I expected it to be, but it works fine. It powers my cell phone, whereas my previous USB battery couldn't. Then again it can't power a 2.5" USB HD whereas my old one could, so it's not able to put out 5V at 1A. the USB standard is only 5V 0.5A but most ports can output more. This is perfect for most USB devices, however.

This one looks like it comes with the mini-USB but not the micro. The great thing about these is that you can get 2 free tips of a different style every year for as long as you own it. So, when it arrives, just go to the manu. web site and order what you need. (or, use a mini to micro USB adapter that they sell here)

I've bought two of these, several months apart. Both work great. Their capacity is adequate for their size. Don't expect them to perform like a full size laptop battery.  They arrive deader than a doornail but charge up fine. The coaxial input connector is annoying and just means you have one more tip to lose.  There is no reason they couldn't have used a standard USB variant for input. These will work with an iPad but don't expect them to charge one from 0 percent to 100 percent. They will add about 17 percent to the iPad charge.  The iPad will display NOT CHARGING but that is just typical Apple hubris, it is indeed charging. It will charge faster/further if you completely power down the iPad AFTER you plug in the charger.

Very cool little unit. I have several different style "battery packs" including a kensington I got years ago, one that runs off of 4AA batteries and now this one. While I haven't had an opportunity to try it under real life circumstances it has a very nice appearance and feel and the little cloth bag is kind of a cool bonus. I am surprised that it charges off of mini Usb rather than the more common micro Usb port prevalent in most current smart phones necessitating another cable to haul when travelling. Be forwarned, the device is listed as pre-charged but mine was dead as a doorknob so make sure to fully charge it before your first use. I can't comment on the tips as they were all pretty useless to me and will probably end up in one of my boxes of misc electronics. :)

I am really happy with this purchase. I have used this battery backup several times and it works great! I was able to fully charge an iPhone 4 that was about 40%

I wanted one of these for when I'm out with my cell phone and talking all day. Doesn't happen often, but something like this is a lifesaver when the battery's about to die. This was on sale & had decent reviews. However, the battery itself might be ok but I haven't used it yet. It uses an incredibly tiny and rare coax plug for power in & out. There is only a single cable for both charging other devices and being charged, and it's curly/coiled so very short. The connectors have some old/rare ones (ericsson, etc), and do not have microB (which is the most popular now). I'd rather return this than pay almost half again in shipping to get a "free" microB USB tip, especially considering how fragile & inconvenient the combined charging/power cord is. Really poor design.

I've only needed it occasionally, but it works just fine! It's a nice little device and it does like it's supposed to. It comes with a handful of tips and the company was relatively quick to send the others that I needed.

I've had two of these for several years now. Still new enough to have the funky charge port. The only annoying part really, it was probably cheaper than a mini usb port. I carry one in my backpack and charge my phone during heavy use days. It doesn't charge fast, but it's steady, and will atleast maintain battery level while I'm using it. The best part is the charge check button. quick and simple to see if it's full, dead, or partial.

I picked this up when it was on sale at Meritline and had medium to low expectations. However, it helped me out of several times where my phone or mp3 player or camera has dead batteries. So far it has held a charge for several weeks and has allowed me to keep using my phone when the main battery was dead. This alone makes it worth carrying around in a car, purse, laptop bag as long as you make sure to recharge it every few weeks. The feature that puts it over the top for me is the "check" button that has blue leds that light up to tell you how much charge is left. My fear was that I'd go to use it and it would be dead, but this lets you check it and prevent it from dying while also preventing you from unnecessary charging which ages the battery.
