Works with iPhone 4. Since the comparable product I was considering was $40, this product does the job well for $5, which makes it excellent! The LED light isn't really much to speak of, and could have been eliminated to save cost or improved to actually be useful. The cover that slides off to expose the batteries is secure, but can also be a bit tricky to get on and off. (Since you can't charge batteries with the unit.) The charge/light/off switch is on the side of the unit, and doesn't have much resistance, so I am a bit concerned about carrying it in my bag. It seems like it could get bumped into the charge or light position easily. I'll just put a piece of scotch tape over the switch to be sure. So, in the end, with a couple rechargeable batteries, I've got a battery backup that works for less than 1/4th the cost of other options. Sweet.

I ordered this to give my Iphone 4 a boost when I am not near a place to recharge. It works just fine with my phone. I could have done without the LED light, but it's there. I must warn you that removong the cover to put the batteries in can be a real bear!! It is well made, the USB connection is tight, and it is not much bigger then the 2 AA batteries. I highly reccomend this product!!! A

Connector taking battery's power to the internal components is flimsy and don't come out enough for AA batteries. Batteries barely stay in. Very loose connection results in output of ~20mA @ about 1/8 the voltage it ought to be at with new batteries. If it wasn't obvious - this device failed to charge anything. It can be pretty difficult just to open the battery compartment. It's all thin plastic, and comes close to snapping in half when you use enough force to take the compartment off. Also worth noting the switch only toggles between turning the light on and off. It outputs power to the USB port no matter what setting you have it on, including "off."
