I have an older HDTV on which the only true digital input is a DVI-D on the back. Using a DVD-D single link cable to this adapter allowed me to connect via HDMI to my laptop. For this, the part worked perfectly.

Great price! It works! My 42" tv is now also a monitor! Paid alot more for one that didn't work from another site. Very pleased with meritline.
