lightweight, a very well made, and a good looking monopod. Holds my 60D perfectly. I am just more than happy with the purchase :-)

This monopod is a great value for the price, especially when there's a coupon. The weight is perfect - not too heavy, but solid enough not to wobble when a DSLR & tele lens is on it. The ball head and quick release mount are great and easy to use. Love the short throw on the joints - easy to loosen and tighten and doesn't slip. I plan to pick up another one of these for my wife. (Come on Meritline - email me a coupon!)

Definitely exceeded my expectations. Well designed and solid. This is by far the best monopod deal I have ever encountered. Better functionality than my Manfroto 679B that was more expensive and had no ball or quick release. Also has an excellent carrying pouch. What more could I ask for this price?

Pros: Very well made. Especially the ball head. Ball head is much, much better than the one came with Dolica Tripod. Great deal when it's on sale. Cons: A bit too long when collapse. Not very strong on the joins when fully extended.

It seems like a pretty good monopod. Works smoothly and is pretty solid. I liked having the ball head for doing overhead shots with the camera aimed down. I had hoped that its quick-release plate would be interchangeable with my Manfrotto. They looked similar but the one on the monopod is much smaller.

I already have 2 monopods that cover 80% my needs. Bought it on sale just because of the ballhead that looked like my favorite lightweight and sturdy Benro BR168 Aluminium Ballhead (goes for more that the price of this monopod+ballhead even on a good day. Prooved to be a perfect combination of portability and function. The head is almost as the BR168 (the plate is rectangular, not square and no bubble level that you dont need on a monopod anyway). The quality is exceptional, nothing is loose or too tight. The strap, the foam grip, the rubberized short throw locking nuts (these are great. have quick release on my other one - they are quick but got caught in branches, people's clothing etc.) Feels like a German camera or Italian bike. Not as heavy as Manfrotto's. Solid carring case. The belt poch has velcros, not belt loops that has its + and -. Strongly recommend even with regular price, if you see it on sale just jump on it

Not a pro photographer by any means. Monopod is well built, holds my Canon 50D with a battery grip with no trouble (2 batteries in it). Thumbscrew to tighten and loosen the head is long so you only need your thumb to tighten or loosen the ball joint. It's pretty light by my standards and collapes to about 16 inches long. Quick release head is pretty tight but only comes with 1 shoe. My tripod came with 2 of them. I also have an HD camera that I want to use with this, so I will need to find another shoe for it. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone.

Very well made monopod. Comes with a handy belt attachment and case. Much better deal than the local cameras shops!
