Worked great with smartphone, HTC Incredible, providing a big boost in volumn. Not so good with laptop, Toshiba Satellite, providing no boost in volumn.

Work great with HTC Incredible smartphone, giving a real boost in volume over phone's built in speaker; not so great with Toshiba Satellite laptop. No discernable boost in volume compared to laptop's built in speakers.

Excellent sound for their size. They give a BIG volume boost when used with my iPhone 4 and iPad 2, and there's no distortion even when the volume is cranked all the way up. I've tried a number of small speakers, but these beat 'em all. The retracting cables are a nice touch, too.

I got these as gifts for my two daughters....they lot them...they are very compact and go everywhere. They use them with their smart and feature phones and laptops.

Speakers aren't too bad as small compact powered speakers. Mine had a slight weird reverb that almost sounds like one of the speakers was wired in reverse. That said, the biggest mark down I gave was that there is no strain relief on the custom mini-usb retracting cable that connections the two sides together (and doubles as the charger cord when recharging the battery. By no strain relieve, I mean the wire comes flat out of the plastic plug , i.e. the cable bends on a sharp corner to either side and so after less that six months of not rough use, it started breaking through the wire.

Work great, very compact. Made well. If I had a complaint it would be that it takes a few minutes to plug them in to each other and you might lose the separate piece that allows you to plug them into the USB for charging.

Got this as a gift for husband, since he loves listening to music everywhere. It's a great little set of speakers that connect to each other for easy travel. They work amazingly well, and have great bass to them. He uses them on his smartphone

Works fine with my Archos 5. Decent performance for its size. Cables could be a bit longer. Also have an Archos 10i tablet. It already has similar speakers and performance so no benefit to using them with it.
