    The light needs some hand cranking as specified. According to the carton it says 1 minute cranking would give 30 minutes light.However the way it should read is One minute cranking should give 3 minutes of bright light, 10 minutes of soft light and 17 minutes of dying light. In other words, the light brightness after 5 minutes is almost like dying light and is not usable. A better product than this is the Handsqueeze Flashlight w/Double LED..

    The crank is really nice to have in my car, I kept it for emergency only. It get charged very quickly, nice price and quality.

    I bought this for my car since my car flashlight always has a dead battery when I need it. It is surprisingly bright after only a short wind and has already come in handy one dark and rainy night. I'm very pleased.

    The hand crank self powered flashlight is really qood and works without any problem. The light is effective in dark and no battery makes it really cost effective. This was my second purchase of flashlight and I would be purchasing more. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for self-powered flashlights.

    Good value for emergency backup light in the car or home. Crank handle seems flimsy and does not lock to flashlight body. Could be brighter for twilight hours.

    Bought a couple of hand cranked flash lights. They arrived on time, well packed. Kids love them and had a great time using them camping. Never had any issues buying from Meritline, Would buy again from them. DM
