Now this light was a pleasant surprise. The dynamo seems constructed adequately enough. It's plastic with a fairly stiff crank arm, I doubt it will withstand too much torque and careless abuse, though. Mine came with the electrical leads inside the unit from the dynamo to the 50mWh cell (pretty tiny capacity) sliced in half! (minus 1 star) I had to strip the wires and screw them together in order for the battery to recharge. Once patched however, the cell charges up with little effort and provides adequate light. Typical for Meritline, QC is likely virtually nonexistent. If you are willing to crack it open and inspect the innards, go for it.
