Well ordered several 3.7 volt 14500 batteries off ebay. This thing does eat those batteries fast. But boy is that sucker bright. No instructions included so have no idea what that port int he picture is for. is it a charger? have no idea. The lamp part does tend to get rather warm. But on one battery thats what I like. tired of changing 3 triple a's all the time. Band's tight around my head. Can easily switch it out for another brand. Button has been rather iffy sometimes. then there's the blinking red light. that'll get annoying after awhile. Yes the Petzl's (sp) have a blinking green light. but it doesn't turn on unless it's on. this one blinks even when it's off. Also the difusser is nice to have. But gets annoying when the battery winds down. Even on a 3.7 volt batter, don't expect full power after 5 hours of use. I don't mind switching those. since it's just one batter. but it was always the 3 that was annoying. Hope meritline carries more like these. Migh
