Works well. Make sure you do this on a solid hard protected surface (e.g. putting a throw away magazine on top of the hard surface), then hit with a hammer.

Really sturdy piece. At first glance, it doesn't look like it can do the job, but it cut through the belt like butter. A really handy tool and a solid buy.

I have several punches, but where this shines is that the hole is deep and lets the cut-outs exits so you don't have to go through the extra step of clearing the punch each time.

Worked well on adding belt holes to existing belts. Look like original belt holes.

The punch I received was not sharp enough to make holes in my leather belt. It took me 10 minutes of constant hammering until I got the first part of the leather off, and then I had to keep twisting it with my hand in order to get the rest of the hole. The cut wasn't perfect, but I guess it still works. Wouldn't recommend it.
