I have been refilling my cartridge (HP C5250 printer) with 1 of these for 2 years now! I have used 2 rules of thumb that I feel have made it work for so long. Firstly, I never let the cartridge get low. At about half empty I refill. Secondly, this may sound a bit weird, but don't let the printer know what you are doing. Open it (so it releases the cartridge), shut the power off (not simply turn off but unplug), remove cartridge, do the refilling, replace the cartridge, shut the printer lid. Then simply plug it back in whenever you need to use it again. My opinion is that there is programming that identifies the cartridge and if it detects that it is being refilled it will reject the cartridge (by never passing the alignment test) until you insert a new cartridge. 2 years!

Meritline.com Verified Buyer I bought this refill station in order to refill my HP 60 Black cartridge. The refill shaft in the station does not line up with the hole in the cartridge. I had to drill a new hole in the cartridge in order to get an alignment.
