Meritline.com Verified Buyer The case is okay. Not sure where the 'grip' comes in. It fits, so I guess it's gripping the iPad? Not sure how this would fair in a drop, but it should keep scratches and moisture off of the tablet when sitting on a table. There's also a cutout on the left side for a non-existent dock connector. I'm guessing this was designed before the iPad was actually released. The free screen protector is terrible. Mine arrived warped on a couple of corners, so it wouldn't cling to the screen properly. It is also a matte film, so while it does cut down some of the reflection and glare of the glass, text (especially small text) will be less sharp and somewhat difficult to read. All of that said, it's a decent case for a very good price. Though if you decide on this case hoping to protect the glass, throw some clear screen protectors in the cart as well (and hope they aren't bent).

Meritline.com Verified Buyer When it says "Grip" it means that it grips onto your iPad, not that it's made of any kind of grippy material. It's quite slippery and isn't going to keep it from sliding around.
