I've used this to reformat old drives, remove viruses from seriously infected drives, and rescue files from dying drives. Minus one star for somewhat flimsy construction of the cables making it difficult to plug the SATA power adapter in.

This product worked as advertised and was easy to use....retrieved info from a hard drive that had info I wanted to keep. My old Gateway laptop died and I used this product to save the info...no problem at all ....just hooked it up and the info was shown on another laptop ...then transferred the data to DVD....super good price also

Works pretty good so far on my IDE drives. It did not work on one of my very old drives but doesn't matter since I am throwing the drive out. I haven't figured out the one touch backup and not much included in terms of instructions.

This device has been a real time saver. I have been able to extract data from a HDD after the motherboard and/or power supply died, even with the HDD still installed in the desktop PC case. I haven’t used the backup program yet. As expected, transferring HDD data is slower using USB than being directly connected to the PC, but certainly no problem for data recovery. I also use it for temporarily connecting a HDD as an external HDD. Works great. I definitely recommend it.

I got this product just over a year ago. It has worked great off and on with use. My only complaint is the Molex to sata power was a bit flimsy, but I can live with that. After a year of use however the powersupply shorted out and took out a 500gb drive I had just bought. A bit disappointed that although a year old, it hasn't had much use; and I have to go buy another hard drive.

I was looking 4 something like this since i bought Sata HDD last week...! Got it on Meritline as always with good deal..!! AC power range is such that i can use it aboard too...!!2 ft. USB cable is enough 4 most of customers..!!
