IDE to SATA or SATA to IDE Adapter

Features:
  • Converts sevial ATA to paraller ATA.
  • Converts Parallel ATA to Serial ATA.
  • Supports ATA 100/133.
  • Compliant with Serial ATA specification.
  • One 40pin IDE port..
  • One serial ATA port.
  • One 4pin power connector.
  • Note:
Some customers complain for this adapter doesn't work, actually, this adapter works well on most of motherboards, please note both the hard drive and adaper need to plug the power cable in,if not, system will not recognize the hard drive, like Maestro says,The power connector is not to feed your drive -- the adapter requires it own power from the power supply, some customers says it just hangs with a black screen when rebooting Windows XP system, that is correct, that means system has found your hard drive and it need time 2-3 minutes to recognize it,just please wait 2-3 minutes and then you can log into window xp and see it.

Some other customers says they were failed to convert SATA to IDE,please make sure there is an IDE slot on the motherboard and the data cable pluged into the right place "IDE HOST=>SATA HD",it doesn't come with SATA HD power cable, customers should get one somewhere to make the card work.

I'll pass on the stupid bigoted comment. Do you really think that most of the electronics you buy come from countries that speak English? Does a crappy translation have any bearing on the product? Do you not know what this product does? In for one cause I have a need, not because I approve the translation.

This is a very good product. For those of us who work with laptops, desktops, ide and sata, it is more convenient that popping open a machine or a drive housing to do the connection.

Very pleased with item - worked as described. Although I wasn't aware it was being shipped from overseas, it actually showed up in a timely manner.

Pros: Worked great, inexpensive. Came with cables Cons: Did not come with any cover to protect you from damaging the pins if you frequently plug/unplug. just be careful and it will work fine.

Product works perfectly on a 500Gb WD IDE drive that I salvaged from an external drive that we lost the power adapter to. Just popped it in the back of the drive, attached SATA and power, plopped it in the case, and fired up the computer. It was recognized instantly. Note the markings on the circuit board itself to make sure you've got the right things connected to the right places on the drive.

Price was good but the quality is questionable, very very limited directions and the soldering looks very basic/funky on the board. Though the product does seem to work OK so far.

I purchased this unit on a whim, not sure I would need it on my next system build. It turned out my SATA drive and motherboard were incompatible, so I had to use my old IDE drive. This adapter saved the day, I'm using it right now and it works excellent.

The product arrived quickly and functioned as promised. There weren't really any instructions so I had to play around with it for a while, but it was simple enough to play with it and figure it out. It works great now and was very inexpensive. I'd buy it again if I needed another.

Excellent product. The IDE to SATA or SATA to IDE Adapter works very well even though I have no idea what I am doing. Good shipping. Good price. Best of all it does what was expected of it.

Cheap price. Cheaper product. We couldn't make it work no matter what we tried. Our intent was to have something that we could hook up some leagacy ide hard drives to newer all sata systems. Your product did not work.

I bought two of these adapters from Meritline. After some trial and error with the BIOS, I finally got my system to boot correctly and recognize all my drives. Now, everything is running smoothly and I'm pretty happy with this purchase.
