This worked great for me. The strength of the attachment to the windshield is strong, as is the way it clamps onto the device. I wasn't able to use the cradle base because they put my Droid X at a height where the power plug was obstructed by the arms, but the clamping strength is sufficient that the bottom thing isn't needed anyway. The only disadvantage of this product is inherent in its flexible arm design. Because it has a bit of spring to it, your device will bounce a little over rough roads. This isn't anywhere near enough to hurt anything, it just means that I can't easily read small letters at a glance if the road is rough.

Not a true gooseneck, actually a solid aluminum rod (about 1/4" thick) with a plastic gooseneck cover. Head does NOT rotate, you have to bend/twist the solid rod, this takes a good bit of force - if you have a phone that has both landscape and portrait mode, this is not for you. Suction works well, holder holds phone securely. Does not open wide enough to hold a cellphone in landscape position only portrait.

For the price? Great! Issues: The little foam pads on the sides come off easily - super glue fixes that. The bottom plastic 'fingers' block the mic input (on an iPhone) muting the speaker phone - solution is to rotate 90 degrees, and move the phone away from the edge. There is still plenty of holding power. Great value.

Item worked great. I've had it a couple of months and its taken repeated use with my Samsung Epic. Grips it well and doesn't come undone even with moderate road vibration. Great deal for the money.

Item was packaged in a flimsy box and then stuffed into a padded envelope. It arrived with one of the side clips broken off so it's not usable. So much for that Christmas Gift. I'll update this or write a new review if it gets replaced in time. It looks like it would work fine with my LG Optimus S but I guess I'll have to wait and see.

Love it! adjustable arms are great. should fit anything. My dorid x fits just fine. mine has a built in picture frame. So i can attach it to my desk at work and works for a phone doc and when i have my phone out a pic frame!! wish the suction cup had a little more grip on my desk but it is still ok. the suction to my car windshield is very good and better then the suction on my desk. it also adjust easily from vertical to horizontal view when the phone is locked in. overall great product
