WARNING: do not buy this product if you live more that 25 miles from the TV station transmitters in your area, it will not pick up any signals. It is designed for mertopolitan or possibly near-suburb use and has NO EXTERNAL ANTENNA CONNECTION. Also, the built-in antenna is very short (14",+-) and poorly suited to transmission channels below 13, which are used in some areas. Overpriced for the limited utility it will provide.

Simple fix for antenna. Used aligator clip adaptor from Radio Shack. Can attach to car radio antenna, or to house TV antenna. I used a mag mount for my CB. Worked fine at the camp ground.

Great little set. Instructions could use a little help. It took me awhile to get it to scan for channels. You need to: 1. press the menu button 2. make sure the selector is on Auto Search and press the Vol+ button to get more options 3. make sure Start Search is selected and press the Vol+ button to start the search Nice picture and reasonable sound for the size.

This little TV works just like it is supposed to. I love that it runs on batteries, just what I wanted, real batteries I can replace and not have to recharge. Picture is great, sound is good, the only problem is having to find a good signal so that the digital picture doesn't freeze up, this even happens with my cable TV, at least that never happened with analog. Other than having to move the antennae around to get the signal, there are no issues with this product.

Works like a champ and does everything it's supposed to. Picks up all my local channels (i live in Houston, TX) including some of the fringe ones. It takes a while to go through all the channels and add/remove the ones you want from the list, but once you do, it's good to go. It's surprisingly loud,i can't believe how well i can hear programming from so far away. Picture looks good, even though it's not full 16X9 resolution. I bought to replace an old portable TV that i kept around for emergencies that was outdated by the switch to digital. This takes AA batteries so it's always ready to go, no charging necessary. It's one of those things i hope to never "need," but i am happy that i have it.

Works fine- which surprised me as it just has a telescopic antenna. Love the fact that it runs on AA batteries- proprietary lithium ion batteries may power similar devices longer, but when the juice runs out, the device is dead. Not with this- can use alkalines or NiMH rechargeables with it, so you have a choice of how to power it- I like that. Excellent for black outs.

Excellent little TV. Reception is very good -- even inside. Using replaceable batteries makes sense for emergencies (when power goes out).

Nice TV for the money. Reception is fair but loaded with nice screen and seems to work fine.

For the money, this is a pretty good portable TV. Keep in mind that ATSC TV signals can't be received while mobile, the ATSC M/H technology is supposed to address this. The battery life on this isn't great, about 2 hours is the best I've gotten, so an AC adapter is a good idea if you plan to have on longer than that. The TV works better if you hook up to a large antenna, but will be OK if you use it in a metropolitan area with strong reception, or where terrain is flat. A nice feature on this is a display of a channel's signal to noise ratio, you don't see that on large LCD HDTVs.

I love this little TV! I did have to send it back, though. I scanned for channels and the reception was wonderful! I was so happy with this set! I bought this TV for a specific event and it was going to work perfectly! A few days later I turned on the TV again and it overheated and would no longer work. It doesn't sounds like this has happened to anyone else so I guess I just had a bad TV.

Works very well. Has a hard time keeping up if in a moving vehicle. The only thing negitive is that it does not come with AC or DC adapters. Batterys only last about 1 hour play time.

This small TV is perfect for emergencies. Just keep it in your safe room, glove box, purse, or pocket when an emergency hits. It runs on AA batteries, just keep an extra set or two on hand so when power runs out you'll be prepared. I had no trouble programming the channels with the included antenna. I do live in a city format, Louisville, KY. Most of the local TV channels are sent to the Floyd's Knobs, Indiana transmitting towers. So, most signals come from one direction. This is probably a benefit for us in this location. One thing that does excel in this small TV is the sound. Compared to others of similar size, it is louder and slightly better tone.

I live near the city so there is no problems with reception. I get 4 to 5 local stations which is all I need in an emergency situation. I bought it strictly for the local news when the power goes out. Nice picture. I like everything about it.
