I didn't use it to cool a HDD. I bought it because of its dimensions. I needed an 80x80x10mm fan for my computer case and this was the cheapest way to get it (with 4 screws!). So far it has been quiet and reliable. Airflow is decent for the size. I would say it is a mid-level fan with a low-level price. It has been better than the cheapest-I-could-find 120mm LED fans I got through that popular auction site eBxx. Meritline has yet to disappoint me in the 5 or so orders I've made so far. 4.5/5.0

Ordered 4 of these babies and they all work perfectly and lowered my hard drive temp from 29C down to 22C. One unit came without screws so i used two from the other and that will work for me. Oh yeah Ihad to bend the slide rail tabs down in order for it to slide into position no big deal after the first one was installed.Go git one!!
