Meritline.com Verified Buyer I had expected this thing to charge the ipod when it is docked, but no, IT DOES NOT. The docking port only has a 3.5 mm plug, not the expected usual ipod port. Looking at the item's description, there is no claim that it will charge an ipod. Oh well, these are only speakers, and as such, they work, but the sound is commensurate with the size and price ($18), that is, not great. Had I realized this thing does not charge the ipod, I would not have purchased it. I might use it as external speakers for my laptop......
