Not all that great. Like most yagi antennas it must be pointed directly at the source to be effective, and the rotor only moves in one direction. If you miss the "sweet spot" you have to rotate 360 degrees again. Secondly, it requires mounting on a pole which is not included. Lastly, I don't believe this antenna could survive outside for more than a couple of rainstorms and it is too big to be used indoors, which only leaves an attic as a possible location for it. It believe the designation of outdoor/indoor may be slightly exaggerated.

The switch for the amp/control box started to be unreliable about 2 weeks after I rec'd this unit -- requiring several on/off tries to come on and stay on. Now, about 6 weeks later, the amp seems to have completely died -- even though I haven't touched the switch in weeks. Sadly, this antenna is virtually useless without an amp. Also, don't get me started on the random left/right motorized antenna rotator.

I rarely write reviews but this device really works! I live in a "hollow" so that my TV will not pick up over the air transmissions. I put this antenna in the attic (much attenuation) and ran coax down two floors into the basement. To my amazement, I get 22 stations (a couple are dicey) and can rotate the antenna for best reception. You get what you pay for. There is no indicator of antenna direction but I can sure live with that. Five stars from me.

This was a nice antenna till the motor went up 6 months later. The wind will now blow the antenna around. I can still pick up the channels that are local but the further away one now only come in at night and eary morning.

To update a previous review, stopped rotating less than 6 months after being installed. Still pulls in signals OK, but only for the stations in the direction it is pointed. So if you don't think you need a rotor, you can buy a better antenna than this for the money. If you do think you need a rotor you will not be able to tell where this is pointing from the remote, accurately aim it, and it may not rotate at all for long.

We got this for our hunting camp about 65 miles north of Saginaw, MI. We hoped to get a couple channels so we could check the new and weather while at camp and were surprised to receive 12 crystal clear digital channels. We mounted the antenna on a roof top mast use the built in rotor to position the antenna. We use the signal meter feature of our digital converter box to fine tune the antenna's direction.

Fairly easy installation but didn't really receive to many channels. We are fairly close to town and get good phone reception out here but could not get any local channels to come in with the antenna. We will research a little more to see if it's us not doing it right or if the antenna just won't work here.
