This is the excelent idea. I bought a whole bunch of them. On Saturday December 19th, 2009, there was a snow storm on my city (Boston, MA). To celebrate my Anniversary with my girl friends, I laid them out on the snow, then called my girl friend to get my extra car key for emergency. As she came out to the place, she was like all jumping up n crying. A big lighting heart on the snow. Each rose changed colors slowly under the white sky view, and on the white snowing field. You can image how beautiful it is. I wish Meritline had a program to upload the picture. Then you'll see what I mean. PRO - Battery (so far 72 hours n still using). Waterproof (big YES). Floating (not testing yet). BEAUTIFUL (of yeahhh). CON - slow shipping. Have fun with these LED roses guys.

These lights are a good value - very bright with easy-to-change batteries when they die. Only 1 Warning: these lights are NOT waterproof, so do not allow them to float in a water bath. The battery compartment WILL corrode!

Love the rose light. Our 8 month old grand daughter is fascinated by it and her 6 year old grand daughter is using it for a night light to help her fall asleep.
