VERY bright and does have an on off switch. The head is a bit heavy and can have trouble staying in place. If you need light, this is it!

Light is bright, and nice to have the switch, but the head is a little too heavy. Mine won't stay in position in anything other than almost verticle. In a way this is good, as otherwise the weight might put too much torque on the computers' USB port and lead to damage.
