I was not sure what it was, but you press the bar and the 5 bright LEDS go on or off. I stuck it inside my stereo cabinet with the self sticking pads. That worked ok for about a day, then the sticky came undone. More sticky stuff may take care of that but the lights work fine.

This product is a good product for it's price. I bought mine for like 2.50 when it was on sale, I bought 3 and use it in my closet and in my bookshelf. Fairly bright light, push on and off mechanism. I def need to buy more to help light up dark spaces. Meritline, put this back on sale so I can buy 10 more... please? Thanks.

The light is 7" long(W) x 1.5" deep(D) x 1" tall(H). There are two 'peel-and-stick' adhesive pads for permanent installation. Velcro type fasteners may be used on top of the 'unpeeled' pads for a less permanent mounting. The 5 LEDs provide direct illumination of 7" x 2" and a somewhat broad spread of indirect light. I mounted mine to the bottom of a keyboard to illuminate a section of a keyboard bellow it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
