Works with Linux. Ubuntu 10.04 runs this camera out of the box, no additional drivers required. "Cheese webcam" displays the video output. In the case of a laptop with a built-in camera, edit / preferences/ device to change to /dev/video1 .

Excellent value open box. Camera works great under windows XP with good resolutions. Currently trying to use for surveillance system. Camera uses separate mic and phone headset. Cons: You have to download the camera software from the Logitec website. and Not really a con, but trying to make it work under Linux.

This webcam does not output smooth video to sustain decent 30 fps. It is good for someone who will use it once in a while and does not care about video quality.

Everything works pretty well. The webcam has high resolution and is easy to use. Considering the low price, I would rank it excellent.

the software download link installed downlevel software! and the camera did not work, it was not obvious that after downloading you then had to update the software to get the camera to work. meritline should have provide the proper link
