Cheapest firewire I could find. Works great on my Toshiba L305 running Vista Ultimate. Recognized and downloaded video from my JVC camcorder with no issues. The old Ulead software it came with does not work with Vista.

Meritline.com Verified Buyer Plugged it into my MacBook Pro, hooked up my hard drive, along with a mouse and it worked immediately, no issues at all. It's also priced a lot cheaper than the same thing at other "mac" websites!

Meritline.com Verified Buyer The card does not include instructions for use with Windows 7. To install it you must start W7 in Safe Mode, insert the card and the open Device Manager and go to System Devices. Find the entries for "PCI Bus" and high light each one in turn and "Scan for Hardware Changes". Windows will install the correct drivers and can then be restarted normally. Or, this can be done manually also by using New Hardware Manager (type hdwwiz in the search box on the Start Menu). The card's USB and 1394 ports work great and the price is right. I'm very satisfied.
