Better than expected! It is designed to clip over your netbook so they can both fit in a bag. It includes two stick-on pads that you can place on the stand if you're worried that it might scratch your netbook, but I found no rough edges. The one down side: all the photos on the website show a silver stand and in the description the color is listed as, "silver." However, the insert with the product shows that it is available in three colors, silver, red, and dark blue. My Dell Mini 9 has a red lid, so either the silver or red would have looked great. Unfortunately, I received the dark blue model, but as it is completely concealed beneath the netbook, I guess it doesn't matter. There is no way to select the color when ordering, however there is a place for "special instructions," so you might try to request a specific color there. The width is about 1cm less than the width of the Dell mini 9.

I've researched many notebook coolers before buying this one. Most of them seem to suck air from underneath the notebook, and blows it out. That seemed to cause problems since most notebooks draw air from underneath also, which caused both the notebook fan and the notebook cooler's fan to work against each other. I used just prop my notebook up with whatever I can find, just so there would be some airflow underneath. This notebook cooler does seem to help a little better than doing that (probably because its aluminum which conducts heat, and possibly, but not likely, due to the small fan it came with). The fan doesn't seem like it does much, but what's nice about it is that it doesn't waste a USB slot, it's extremely quiet, you can change the speed settings, and you can detach it from the base and move it to another part of the base. It also draws air from underneath and blows it to the bottom of your laptop. I've moved mine to where it's the hottest on my notebook. It comes with 2 fo

It is too small for my laptop, not easy to keep my laptop stable. When the fan runs, it sort of makes noise. Not a good deal.

While the fan is nice and provides a pass-through USB, the open socket is charged and I did receive a small shock when inserting itno the side USB socket. I'll be purchasing some USB covers if I can only remember where I saw them...
