Works great on my 13" 2010 Macbook Pro with my 46" LG 1080p HDTV and 24" Dell 2048x1080 res monitor. Audio was passed over HDMI to the TV.

To get the audio passthrough to work on the new 2010 macbooks, you need to go to the system preferences after you plug in the HDMI, and select the TV or whatever you plugged into as the default audio device. My LG TV showed up just as LG in the list of sound devices.

Worked perfect for my 2010 MacBook. If you have the volume in the menu bar, just press option while clicking it for easy access to select the outpt device. **You must also tell the program like VLC to out put the audio to the HDMI output as well. It took m a few minutes to figure this out.

Works perfectly on my MacBook Pro (Core i5" 2.4 15-Inch (Mid-2010)). Connected it to a 50" HDTV. Make sure you change the computer settings in System Preferences --> Sound. Go to the Output tab and select the device for output. One option is for internal speakers (built-in) and the other option is TV (HMDI). Choose HMDI. the sound will now come out of the TV.

I can not be HAPPIER!!!!!! it works!!! now i can use my flat screen to work on all my photos. If you are having trouble with the sound and you have the newer Macbook pro go into the system setting and click on SOUND. There will be two options for output (1) for your Laptop speakers (2) for your TV..for example mine said Sony Bravia speaker. If you don't have a second option then your computer does not have HDMI output. Very happy with purchase and speed of shipping as always.

Apple did not allow audio to go through mini DisplayPort until the updated systems. If the only the video works on your mac book than its your mac books fault not the adapters.

This a very nice high quality. Probably made in the same "job shop" as the actual Apple adapter! I see NO Difference at all ( I'm a graphics/marketing geek) I have 12 Apples I use now. I have put these on 3 all perfect!

Advertised as compatible with audio when I placed the order. Does not work with my mid 2010 Macbook Pro;s audio through hdmi, despite the package saying so.
