Mini Display Port to HDMI 1.3b Adapter for Apple Macbooks Display Port

The Mini DisplayPort is the standard for the new and future MacBook, MacBook Pro and Mac Air. Connect to any external display or projector to use as your main workspace or to extend your desktop. The Mini DisplayPort Adapters will also allow you to work in mirrored mode with a projector so you can view what your audience sees.

Utilize the Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter to connect a MacBook, MacBook Pro, or MacBook Air to any high definition TV or LCD with an HDMI connector or cable. Please check double check your HD TV or LCD manual to make ensure that you are choosing the correct adapter.

Recently bought this to watch recent tv shows and streamed sports from the internet on our Sony. Works great using the aluminum MacBook Pro and our Sony Bravia tv. Note that you will have to get a Y-cable (headphone jack to RCA red/white) to hook up the audio from the computer to the tv. For some reason Apple doesn't offer this set-up (instead having to pay $35+ for a display port adapter to DVI then a DVI to HDMI cable) especially for this price.

Basic quality, excellent value, works well but does not provide sound. You'll still need a separate cable for the sound out.

the description said it was for macbooks, but didn't specify that it was only for the newer generation macbooks.

Product works well....just as described. Its really too bad that Apple does not include sound through the miniport on a $3000 MacBook Pro....sort of defeats the purpose of using HDMI which is supposed to carry both sound and video.

The cable is just what I needed to connect to my LCD TV. Now I can easily watch programs from the internet on the TV. Good quality. I would recommend the cable.

The order came in on time. The device is simple, plugs into the mini display port like it says, connected to the hdmi cable and displayed perfectly on my tv. And the price is very fair.

works perfect. i don't understand the negative comments and reviews saying, "doesn't fit my macbook" and such. product title and description clearly states that it's a "mini display port to hdmi adapter." thus if your macbook doesn't have a mini display port, of course it won't work. don't negatively mark a product or the vendor for your own mistake. you, sir reviewer, get a 1-star.
