Meritline.com Verified Buyer Got these on sale for half the usual price. Took them out of the packaging yesterday and set them up. I'm not really a fisherman but these function adequately. It came with the rod, reel, and a tiny "tackle kit" of two (very rusty) hooks, two floats, two plastic-coated lead weights, and some flimsy rubber "bait." There are no instructions, but you have to mount the reel to the rod with a little thumbscrew. When the reel is attached, the "pen cap" lid doesn't fit back on. The full extended length of the rod is about 40 inches. However, the kids absolutely loved it, and even caught a few crayfish from a local pond. So I guess this one was a take-a-chance winner we'll use again next year.
