    The flashlight works as designed. Have one in each vehicle, small enough for the glove box. ONLY DOWNSIDE is the shipping method REQUIRES A PERSON TO SIGN. You must be home to receive. Will not orer again from Meritline for this reason alone.

    Fairly dim and I'm not sure how long the internal batteries will last. Quality is fair. You can squeeze and get light but you have to keep squeezing and squeezing. There are better backups to your backup lighting but it seems that everyone feels like they should have one of these. It's cheap enough so go ahead and get one. It won't spoil or rust and it will be there if you need it 10 years from now.

    Has 3 button batteries near the bulb. Not a battery-less flashlight. You can pop open the head of flashlight and check if you don't believe me. Don't trust this flashlight because when battery dies, so does flash light. Scam product being sold. I am not blaming meritline. But they should look into these kinds of products carefully before selling

    I ordered several of these as gifts. The shipping from Hong Kong is a huge problem. The packaging and flashlights were trashed -- not giftable. They came registered mail, so I had to journey to the post office and wait in line. Yeah, for a $5 item. Don't know about you, but I shop online to avoid long lines and journeys. Contrary to what other reviews say here, the squeeze feature only kinda sorta works and lasts less than a second. There's a non-replaceable battery in them which you can switch on . . . that's probably what fooled other writers. Cheaply made.

    Okay.. I ordered 5, four of them arrived in good condition. This product is so good. I gave avg rating because one of them is broken on arrival.

    Very good price, but broke on first day of use. So don't count on reliability of this item, not for emergency use.

    this product is very useful, with a minute of squeeze my flashlight gave more than 20 mins of light. It would be interesting to see if this life continues after a year of use. I recommend this product.

    A few realities for your consideration. It isn't precision engineering, nor does it feel solid. Its very "plasticky." Drop it once and its a goner. There is no crank despite what many posted. It is a "hand-pressing" flashlight. Interestingly, the box also mistakenly describes the need to "simply shake to recharge." (See enlarged photos). Also, whether it has a bulb(s) is unclear to me, but I suspect it does. It just simply can't be replaced. Many have posted that it has a battery too, despite it saying it has no battery. I believe it. Again, you probably can't replace it. As for the one I received, it works well. Although, after a few weeks of non-use, the "hand press" lever (whatever you call it) got stuck in the retracted position. I had to take the device apart to get the "hand press" to release. Just two screws to remove. Of course one was stripped. But, anyhow after a little work, it works fine now.

    The box is hilarious. Obviously written by someone whose 1st language is not English. Here are excerpts, misspellings and all: "This product is a new science and technology product and made with high and new science and technology. It can illuminate only placing it in rhythm. No need any power no environmental pollution. Low noise and health. Comparing with common torch. It can be several times on lift. Con stantly using this health torch. It can benefit to your palm, arm and shoulder stretching and blood circulation so as to let your hands relax and brain clever hand and brain coor dinate and promote your brain memory and health composition."

    This thing has a battery! It's not the brightest with the battery switched on. But about half as bright when just relying on the hand crank...which ONLY LASTS less than half a second. That means that you have to squeeze the hand crank CONTINUOUSLY to get a tiny bit of light. And my hand got very tired after about 20 seconds. When the battery dies, this thing could be almost useless. PS - When trying to submit this review, I got this error, "The system cannot find the file specified" about 20 times over several days.

    One of 5 flash lights did not work. Meritline agreed to replace it but it was not worth the expense of postage. Rest they do work, I hope they will work when I need them.

    This is a great little toy for kids. Also, handly in case of power outage since no worries about batteries. The flashlight provides ample light and great for the price.

    Great little flashlights, cheap enough to toss one in the car and keep a couple scattered around the house for when they are needed. Not the brightest flashlights out, but definitely convenient to not have to wonder if the batteries are dead.
