Product is EXCELLENT. However, it took me a month to get it from Hong Kong. So, if you are not in a hurry to get the product then it is for YOU. If in a hurry, don't order it!

The cable tester works great, and includes a leather case as well. It doesn't include the +9v battery though! Overall this is a great tester for the money. Shipping took awhile though.

The item plastic was poorly produce or the item plastic was very old. When I try to remove the battery cover to insert the battery, the whole battery cover just fell apart. I thought item was a good bargain at the time, but in the long run was not. Therefore, you get what you pay for. For price, I paid for it was not worth the time and paperwork to sending back, so I just threw it in the garbage. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

I purchased this tester because I knew I'd be connecting my girlfriends computer in her new house. Cable modem in basement, computer on second floor. There was existing cabling throughout the house all coming into the basement. Could have been a real hit or miss PITA. This tester saved my butt. Connected transmitter upstairs, checked cable ends downstairs until I got a hit. Easy. The only drawback: the ethernet connectors are very tight, requiring a lot of tugging and twisting to remove a cable. More than worth the money.

The tester paid off the first time I used it. I had erred when building an RJ45 cable and the tester quickly told me that I had shorted two conductors together. I would highly recommend it if you build or repair cables.
