I was a little hesitate about this battery for a D90 since there was only one review. However, I decided to give it a try. Well, I am very satisfied. It performs as good as the Nikon OEM. Before I placed my order, i did a little research and learned that this brand is the most famous and reliable brand in China. Many people use this item for their Nikon DSLRs as a backup and very happy. But, some people report that they sometimes get error messages when used on D90 and other models. Based on the manufacturer, they had one batch with compatibility issue. I think the one I got was a good one. The other reason I got this one was because I also owned a Pisen camcorder battery for a Canon camcorder and it is still going pretty strong after about 3 years (although I did not use as much as the D90)

I'd be careful purchasing this for a D300. Nikon makes proprietary batteries for the D300 and most third-party knock-offs won't work with it. Write Meritline first before ordering, otherwise you'll get a paperweight for your money.

I bought this for my D300. It works fine. This battery does not seem to hold the charges as long as the original Nikon battery.
