Works well with mov, Divx, Xvid, mpg2, VOB, and SOME mp4. Does NOT work with WMV nor H.264. jpgs look great, and I'm pleased with the product. GREAT PRICE!

Great device. Allows me to watch the stated formats on the big screen. One thing I don't like about it is that it plays continuously and doesn't have an option to return to the menu automatically after an the video is over.

This is a great little media player. It has many features that I like. It plays more formats than my expensive Western Digital player. Video quality is great, but audio could use some work, which is why I am giving this 4 vs 5 stars. The audio is super quiet on this player so we use our surround sound whenever we watch a movie, but that could be an encoding issue unrelated to the player itself. Overall, for the money it is a great value. Oh, lastly, the componet cable that comes with the box is TINY!!! We have a 65" tv and have to plug this in the front, and we have tried other cables with it, but it only plays with the included componet cable, just another thing to keep in mind.

Ordered one of these off of eBay about a year ago and really have liked it. I payed about $15 more for the same product. It plays everything that is listed and nothing else so please buy something else if you are looking to play other files not listed. Playback of xvid files is more than fine on my 32in RCA LCD. Using the composite input helps quite a bit. I use it with a few 4GB, 8GB, 16GB usb drives and a 16GB microSDHC (class 2) with an SD adapter and it works fine with all. It doesn't have enough power to hook up an external hard drive unless the hard drive has its own external power supply. If you are a picky audiophile then get something better but this is great for the kids or spare room TV.

I bought this for my parents and they love it! Of course it can be slightly irritable, but for the price you cant beat it. It's played at least 95% of everything that has been loaded on it and and has great quality video. Volume can be slightly low sometimes but I can't really complain. If I didn't have a PS3 I would buy one myself!

It doesn't play 1280x720 mpg or avi files. Going to have to spend days figuring out how to encode these files so that maybe they will play. Maybe the resolution is too high? - Who knows (especially not the manufacturer).

It worked right out of the box playing MP4 and VOB files (doesn't recognize DVD folders, so files have to be played individually). Cables are a bit short. Major problem is it won't play MPG MPEG2)files, which excludes most of my videos. Hoping its a firmware snafu - waiting for Meritline response on where to get latest version.
