Meritline.com Verified Buyer Tested with netstumbler.. it's a directional antenna - aim directly at the AP, gave at least -5db boost plus stability improved amazingly. Way Better than any of my omni antennas. Don't expect miracles though. Instantly installed on Win7 32bit and used driver CD on WinXP SP3.

Meritline.com Verified Buyer I am in the military deployed over seas and 5 of uswent together and ordered these outdoor antenas because we knew we were going to be moving along ways away from the WIFI sources the four I gave out seem to work and the one I got is broken. I have not yet contacted Meaitline to see what I can do to exchange.

Meritline.com Verified Buyer I took a chance and ordered this when it was on sale for 1/2 price. I admit at first I was skeptical because of miserable failure using other items. I wanted to be able to broadcast from my house to an outside shop. The instant I plugged this in it worked so well, I was seeing more wireless than ever in the neighborhoo. That was even before installing the disc. Now, I've installed the driver, locked into my network, and so far it has worked flawless. I did mount mine close to the rooftop on an exterior pole, it comes with clamps for that purpose, and states it is weather proof. Great deal, especially if you get it for the price I paid.

Meritline.com Verified Buyer This device pulls in a strong signal in a dead spot where no other wireless adapter could manage a consistent signal. I'm very impressed by the device. Although it it relatively large (perhaps because it is designed to also be used outdoors in harsher conditions), the trade off between a smaller gadget and one that actually does the job is worth it.

Meritline.com Verified Buyer I have tried to use this in my garage so that I could connect to the internet without running a cable to the garage. While my PC can connect to my home router without this device, I do get a better connection, and the speed appears to be improved as well. I cannot get 100% connectivity. It's usually between 45% and 68% and I haven't figured out if this is due to the placement of the router or the antenna or if there are other factors I'm unaware of. Not a bad item if it works for you. I think it helps although it does take some setup time. As usual, Meritline's price is great!

Meritline.com Verified Buyer It worked great. Loaded on Windows 2000, XP using the CD and recognized automatically on Win 7. I am using it indoors near a window and I am picking up a lot more sites in my neiborhood including open sites giving me free wireless access. Great Product!
