Works as described, diffuses the flash nicely. However, on my Canon Rebel, sliding anything into the hotshoe presses a switch that tells the camera that there is an external flash present, and it won't fire the built in flash. I had to shave away part of this devices mounting plate, and now it doesn't trip the switch. Now the device works.

This is exactly what I thought it would be. I think it does the job of slightly diffusing the on camera flash. I too had to shave part of the bracket away to make it work on my Canon camera. The plastic is a little stiff and "pops" off if you aren't careful but I think it will loosen up or I will glue the two pieces together. Was definitely worth the price!

works well, maybe they changed the design, but I did not have to modify it at all for the flash to fire on my 40D!

Doesn't seem to be a way to attach it to my Kodak EasyShare Z7590. There was only one of those little plastic mounting pieces included, the pictures show 2 of these, don't know if it's 2 different angles of the same piece.

Nice diffuser, but seriously reduces flash intensity. Gives good soft lighting effect, but ambient light tends to bleed in giving color cast. Pros: Fits well on DLSR (I use Nikon D5000). Soft lighting effect. Much cheaper than buying an external flash with bounce head or diffuser. Cons: Doesn't seem overly sturdy, mount might get broken in camera bag. Thick diffuser reduces light intensity. Probably should use a tripod for pictures more than 3 or 4 feet from subject. Weak camera flash is no substitute for powerful external flash. Tend to get reflected image of diffuser in peoples eyeglasses. In short: Worth the price, but don't expect miracles.
