The plastic openers are weak. The screw deriver is still too big for tiny screws of iphone 3g. better buy screw drivers for eyeglasses from an optical store near you.

I didn't care for it too much for for the plastic pieces as they did not hold up and the plastic kept rubbing away. Basically it was too cheap, but I didn't give it a poor rating because I guess it got me inside the phone. I did break the phone eventually b/c there weren't any instructions with the kit and well I guess that's expected, but the glue IN the phone was like SUPER grade stuff and difficult to pry open without bending some of the stuff. I'm not technical with things so I don't know if I could have used other equipment I just wasn't happy with the plastic openers. The little screwdrivers worked ok. So, I don't know if there are other kits that would be more useful. My summation: After LOTS of physical force and using random tools from the kit I got into the nitty gritty of the phone, unfortunately the end result was just that...nitty gritty and a broken phone.

This product is not as described. It does NOT have the "tri-star" screwdriver needed to open the NDS (both NDS & NDS lite have tri-star screws that need a special screwdriver). Tri-star screws are different from phillips head screws.

Works as described only need scuction cup to be complete. Also screw driver will not take a lot of torque.
