This rack is well made and does the job it was made to do. Special screws are used to hold the hard drives, so don't loose them.

This 5 bay SATA drive rack is terrific. Especially for the $. The large fan is absolutely quiet and all hardware is included (keep track of all the enclosed screws!). One precaution I'd suggest, is when you first insert each HD. Each bay has its own lock on the left side of the rack (see lock handles in pic) to secure each drive in place. When you first insert each HD, you have to gingerly apply pressure on the HD towards the back of the rack (exposing the connectors to the front) so it slides rearward enough for each lock to click into place. After using each lock a few times changing HDs, the locks work easier. The other caveat is, w/multi-USB hub. Using a 10 slot USB2 hub myself, make sure you have the correct SATA/USB adapters (small, self contained). It wasn't until I set it up that I realized I needed the adapters. The only way I got mine to work was because, being a 25 yr. Mac-tech, I had a number of individual (w/pwrsply) IDE-SATA/USB adapters. I'm now buying a 2nd one.
