I installed the battery. The flashlight not working. I took it apart and found out the spring soldered well to the chip are broken. After I re-sold the light does not work.

Upgrading my 11/06/2012 review to four stars because I found an easy fix for the skip-memory issues, common to many 5-mode Chinese lights, described in that review. The next-mode memory is sustained during "off" time by a capacitor on the driver board. If off long enough, the capacitor discharges and the light comes back on in "high". Delay time varies by flashlight model. By placing a resistor in parallel on top of the capacitor, you speed the discharge time and turn the light into a "no memory" unit that always re-starts in "high". This if far less frustrating. The modification can be done with an actual chip resistor, or by using a pencil to place a layer of graphite on the top capacitor surface (trial and error) to provide a leakage path. Google "next mode memory fix" or "next mode pencil fix" and you'll find several tutorials on this modification.

Only had these two for two weeks and have not used them much. The claim of having a mode memory is wrong, as the memory fails on both lights and that makes them useless for the intended use. As just a flashlight, it's ok but that's all.

I've been using it for 370 days now. It's been fine, it's rarely used. Suddenly it stopped working today. It just won't turn on. It wasn't dropped or anything.

Flashlight is poorly constructed and stopped working after a couple weeks. I took it apart and found that the wire are not soldered well to the chip. Upon re-soldering, the light still does not work.

Size is nice for a 18650 battery Cree flash light. Nice wide beam with no hot spot when zoomed out but not as bright as other 18650's. I have 5 Cree lights from Meritline, save yourself the time and buy the 0003575-001. Best all around and brightest.

I was a bit hesitant on this light since the last one I bought (different model) didn't seem up to par in the light output as was advertised. I don't know if this is really a 1000 lumen flashlight, but it certainly is the brightest flashlight I own. I am pleased with the compact design, the construction and its operation. I see others stating they're having problems with which mode the unit comes up on. So far, its operates as expected. If I turn it off on strobe, it comes up on strobe the next time. If I turn it off on bright, it comes up on bright the next time. For the price, this is high on my list of units to own. As a gift my only concern is having to have the 18650 battery and charger. I have chosen a unit that uses a AA battery for that purpose.

Good flashlight just don't drop it! As soon as you do the solder points on the LED circuit board pop off. Just purchased my third one after having two fail in that way. I hope they fix how the wires are connected to the LED.

Not a great light. In spot mode the beam is oddly square. Looks like a 200lm light. Skip this light and get the "1000 Lumen CREE XM-L T6 LED Flashlight Torch Light Lamp" instead. Twice as bright.
