Meritline.com Verified Buyer I bought these bulbs to replace the incandescent bulbs in my 12v landscape spotlights. Because the light is mostly side firing with 1 bulb on top, the reflector in the spotlight has to re-direct the light. It's a great replacement. I knew what I was getting. The light output is about the same as a 10 watt incandescent spotlight, even with the reflector action going on. If using these in an application where the light isn't enclosed so much, it'd probably be closer to a 15 or 20 watt equivalent.

Not only for your car...I simply plugged these into the Malibu landscape spot light fixtures where the old halogen lamp was. Fit perfect loads of bright light and I hope they last much longer than the 6 months I got out of the regular bulbs.
