I have been using TDK CD-Rs for over a decade, and they are one of the two most reliable brands for making music CDs (the other being Fujifilm). Many different brands will produce excellent music CDs, but TDKs are among most long-lasting; I still have some that are quite playable though made in the late 1990's. One caveat, however, for anyone making their own music or data CDs, regardless of the brand -- DO NOT APPLY ADHESIVE PAPER LABELS. Over time, these release a chemical from the adhesive that can degrade the sound (producing repetitive clicks and eventually making the tracks unplayable). TDK and Fujifilm CD-Rs are the most resistant to this problem, but can still be affected by it. Other major CD-R manufacturers, in my experience, such as Memorex, degrade must faster, often within two or three years.

Unique case. It screws on like a screw. not tabs. So doesn't pop apart like most do. Keeping that one. Label doesn't match. But most CDR's today are well made.
