This product does not work. It is an AC voltage tester that is supposed to light up when probed to an area where there is an AC voltage of 100v to 500v. Well, no lights come on when probed to a known working wall outlet.

This is a genuine namebrand product. Phillips I think (from memory). I haven't had a chance to test it yet but I don't expect any problems.

The shank right after the tip is too fat to fit into standard US 110 Volts ac receptacles. How practical is that? I am dissapointed in that would be the most obvious use for the product. Without it fitting into an outlet I am not sure whether it works at all.
