Meritline.com Verified Buyer In general, Class 4 is designed to provide fast random-access rates and is suitable for flash-based operating systems. Class 10 is designed to provide high sustained-transfer rates and is suitable for digital cameras or backing up large files. (A camera doesn't need fast random access because the image is captured directly onto a sensor. But it needs to move the image in time for the next picture to be taken.) OK, having said that, When I saw the Transcend C4-32GB on sale, I thought I'd give it a try for a couple of reasons: First, according to random-write speeds posted in the forums, the Transcend 16GB C4 card may be the fastest card on the planet for running CM7 on my Nook Color. Second, I think Transcend deserves some respect for being able to make "industrial grade" microSD cards--the only other manufacturer I know of is Delkin. Warning, do not buy if you are going to use it with a Samsung Galaxy phone. 32GB class 4 microsd cards do not work well with the new Jelly Bean 4.1.1 and 4.1.2 updates for Samsung Galaxy phones. This micro sd card will show a notification frequently that states "sd card unexpectedly removed." This notice can happen as often as every 3 minutes. Then the card will eventually die and delete all of your files. I bought this card on 11/15/2012, it arrived 11/20/2012. The card showed the unexpectedly removed error in December, and it finally died towards the end of January. After several searches on google, I found that many other people have the same problem with the same card because it is a class 4 card and these cards tends to die quickly in mobile phones, especially Samsung phones.

Meritline.com Verified Buyer This 32G micro card was an excellent value at under $19! As I'm not very concerned with the ability of the disk's ability to protect data, class 4 is fine for my needs.
