Not particularly bright and the light has a bluish hue, but they do give off enough light to illuminate a medium size room so you can safely walk through it at night (night light). Would work good as outdoor pathway lighting too.

Don't expect general illumination from inexpensive LED lighting yet. This will produce about as much light as a 15 watt incandescent at a color even more blue than cool white fluorescent. Standard 5mm LEDs that are used to make inexpensive LED lighting are even less efficient then 100watt light bulbs and inexpensive power supplies are very inefficient and vulnerable to power spikes. This consumes about 1kWh a month and is brighter than an EL nightlight. If that is what you want this is for you.

This is a piece of SH*T. It die after 3 weeks when I used it for night light. Don't waste your money on it like I did. I cannot select 1 star. Why Meritline?

I got couple of these. They don't last long as the ad says. Both of them gone dead in 2 months.

Product works great and the output sucks. Advertising should explain that this bulb or even 10 of them will replace a 15 watt compact fluorescent bulb. Should be fine for accent lighting though.

These light bulbs are pretty bright and great, for 1.3-Watts! They are brighter than the 2-Pack of the E27/E26 18 LED 2-Watt Spotlight Light Bulb 215-321. Not sure why 1.3-Watts is brighter than 2-Watts, could be the extra 2 LEDs, but they are perfect for a night light. I'll be buying more to replace my current 18 LED 2-Watt bulbs, also bought from Merlitline. The shipping was great too. Received within a week of ordering. ~Rodrigo

If these are similar to the ones I bought here (and shipped from Hong Kong), then beware. They both burned out within 2 weeks of use. But at least Meritline refunded without having to return them. Ever wonder why the descriptions for these cheap LED bulbs never have a Lumen rating? Because they are VERY weak, low light bulbs. Meritline sent me an e-mail saying that they don't censor or edit comments... we'll see.

These replaced the 2Watt 18LED light bulbs I also bought from MeritLine. These actually have a brighter output, go figure! Could be due to the fact that these are more rounded in shape and the 18LED bulbs had a flat top. I use these as night lights. Very good.

I've had a dozen of these installed here and there around the house for several years and absolutely LOVE them. They make great reading lights, work very well as instant-on backups to my fluorescent shop lights, and are perfect for hard-to-reach areas. Because the light is concentrated directly in line with the socket, these aren't great for general illumination such as ceiling fixtures or table lamps, and -- let's face it -- they're not blindingly bright, though in a common flex-arm desk or reading lamp they're perfect. I've had zero failures, and for my purposes they've been perfect, definitely "the wave of the future" and a real bargain at Meritline's price.
