Refilled starter cartridges WILL NOT be accepted by the printer due to a printer sensor error
Refilled replacement cartridges WILL BE accepted by the printer
It is therefore advised that you refill ONLY THE REPLACEMENT CARTRIDGES
C5150 replacement cartridges CAN be successfully refilled with a reset solution that we include.
"Starter cartridges" refer to the cartridges that come with the printer when you first purchase the printer, whereas "Replacement Cartridges" are the ones you buy on their own (either from an office supply store, or from our site)
OKIDATA C5500 models only have chips which will prevent the printer from recognizing the refilled cartridge. No replacement chips are currently available, but you can successfully refill the cartridges and overcome this issue if you refill BEFORE the printer reaches toner low, and the chip switches it all off
Note: It is recommended to refill the same Okidata C5100 toner cartridge up to 2 times before replacing with a new OEM Okidata C5100 toner cartridge. This way you always maintain high quality prints and high page yields alternating between OEM Okidata C5100 cartridges and our Okidata C5100 toner refills. Note that you can refill ANY okidata C5100 toner cartridge, whether its the original cartridge that came with the Okidata printer, or the high yield Okidata C5100 cartridges
