Junk. Overheats and burns itself out.

Not impressed at all. This worked for about 5 mins on my iPhone 3GS, then it said "charging with this device is not supported". Turns out it was not outputting even close to the 5V is was supposed to. I opened it up (because I am an Electrical Engineer) and found out that the circuit is made as cheaply as possible. One of the chips should have some cooling, but does not. That is what was causing it to output something other than 5V. Also, one of the side contacts is not even connected. It is just for show. It took 3 weeks to get here straight from China, even though the website said it will take "up to 2 weeks". When I emailed Meritline after 2.5 weeks, they said "It can take up to 3 weeks.". I will not be buying from here again. Unfortunately I have an order that is in the mail. Ill be disassembling those before using them, that is for sure.

Not sure. Minutes after plugging it in, my mp3 player died. Not sure if the charger was the cause or not.

Not sure. After a few minutes of working, my mp3 player died. Not sure if it was the player or the charger!

This item truly 'smokes'. There must be a short circuit on this adapter that makes it hot and rubber burning smell.
