Worked great on a SATA 2.5 inch notebook hard drive and IDE DVD-RW drive so far! I had one issue connecting the hard drive (XP formatted) to a PC running Vista, but when I did connect it to a PC running XP it got recognized right away.

Meritline.com Verified Buyer This was the second adapter I bought, the first adapter works fine. I give this adapter a three because on the second use while formatting a new hard drive after about an hour the power supply overheated and became unusable. Meritline offered to refund my money or allow me to purchase the same item for the sale price. I trust Meritline and will order from them again, I think this was just a flawed item.
