Came with practically no instruction. Worse than poor! Could not get the audio (in/out) it claims. Seems to be just a piece of JUNK. Wonder whether others had similar experience. Cheema Thridandam c3dandam@yahoo.com August 28, 2009

This device is not worth even the $3. It was easy plug and play but after a few seconds of sound it would make a pop sound and I would get a message that the power it is attempting to draw is too much and it has been shut off. I replaced it with a reputable model and that one gives not issues at all. I WOULD NOT buy.

It works but PC will automatic disable a original phone and mic jacks, so it only work either one

It took little longer but with the price and updates..it was nice.

It was a waste of money! I tested the adapter with different mics and headphones that I knew worked and it failed each time. I had never used MeritLine before and won't use them again.

terribly clever device. i was about to write and say that it didn't work, but i discovered that i must disable my on-board sound driver before this device will work. it is, indeed, truly plug & play. the sound is a little bass-heavy, but i'm sure i could tweak that. i bought this considering the possibility that my on-board jack goes belly-up.

Dont order this item! Meritline will ship you "V5.1 USB 3D Sound Card Audio Adapter" instead, which has poor ratings.

Output works fine. Still trying to get the microphone input to work. Still not too bad for $3.99

Used it on an old XP Pro machine and it does what it is supposed to. Nothing fancy but it works just fine.

Works as promised, but sound quality is not very good as when plugged directly into the audio connectors.

this is the perfect USB distortion producing device. in other words it's not worth it.

Easier than I could have imagined - I am using Windows RC7. Plugged it in and it just worked! Mo mess, no fuss, no configuration.

did not work on vista, & worked on 1 of 2 XP systems. great idea, but it needs to work on more than just one out of three PCs

this worked ok for XP, but it didn't work in vista. note: half of my existing hardware doesn't work on vista, so the rating is because there was no compatibility statement. now I just have a sound card that I can't use and isn't worth returning.
